Help for adults

Even if the issues of learning difficulties are not addressed until adulthood, there is still a simple way to correct the problem. This takes 5-8 days one-to-one, followed by about 50 hours of dedicated work at home.
What we normally find is that motivation is not an issue like it can be with children and teenagers. Adults, however generally have more emotional baggage from having lived with the pain of the education experience as well as having lived sometimes for decades with certain doors completely closed to them in terms of skills.
In 1995, Ronald D Davis, the author of The Gift of Dyslexia wrote an inspired article about adults in the workplace. Click here to read his article.

We can arrange the work to suit your family and work commitments. As an example, we sometimes do an intensive course over five consecutive days, sometimes we work for a day a week for five weeks and sometimes for ten half-days over a ten week period.

For this age we offer several slightly different programmes addressing the various symptoms:

If you would like to take this further, you can contact me for a chat or book an assessment.

Various options for you

There are a number of options available to you, depending on the level of involvement you are prepared to take on, and what you can afford.
We like to think that the Davis programme is actually available to practically anyone, as you are not really restricted by finances. All you need is the book, some plasticine, time and patience. Alternatively, you can sign up for a workshop to give you more confidence in applying the procedures in the book, or book in a professional one-to-one intervention.
